Better than the competition

I have used a range of placeholder text generators over the years. More recently, I have been using LittleIpsum - a similar tool that sits in your menubar and allows you to copy a varying amounts of placeholder ‘lorem’ text.

That being said, I think that this one is the most pleasing to use. The options to copy as plaintext, html, and markdown are great features and the simple mouse drag feels intuitive and precise.

I would like to see more options for perhaps usign other generators (come on, who doesn’t want bacon ipsum in their menu bar?), and maybe the option to randomize which words the copy starts with. Having ‘Lorem ipsum’ repeated in multiple places in pages and documents kind of stands out, in my opinion.

But these are hardly negative aspects of this software. It’s great. And free. Give it a shot!
